There are tHREE Types of SWAA Membership Available:
Full – $300 per year
- Full membership is open to solid waste staff at a county, solid waste management district or sanitary board established by the Legislature, or a governmental joint powers having legal statutory responsibility for solid waste management at the local level. Full members in good standing may have one (1) vote on each matter submitted to a vote of the membership. Full members may hold office, serve as members of the Executive Board, or serve in a committee leadership position.
Associate – $250 per year
- Associate membership is open to secondary members from the same organization as a Full member. This is a non-voting member category, but Associate members can hold office, serve as members of the Executive Board, or serve in a committee leadership position.
Affiliate – $300 per year
- Affiliate membership is open to consultants, state agency solid waste officials, private industry representatives, other government officials and waste management organizations. This is a non-voting member category. Affiliate members may participate on committees, but cannot serve in a committee leadership position nor hold an elected position in the association.
